The beach is beautiful, and this Inn sits right on it. That’s its main draw for me. The room needs some basic improvements. The toilet was so low it felt child sized and was very difficult to get up from. The towels had no absorbency left, the bathroom sink had almost no water pressure, and there were no grab bars in the tub or shower, which seems dangerous for seniors. Signs pointing to breakfast would help, too.

The staff are friendly and helpful, and the complimentary breakfast has plenty of tasty choices. I’ve been coming to OIB for several years, and the ocean view rooms are amazing. I always leave feeling peaceful and refreshed. It’s a great choice for a quiet beach stay, long walks along the easy shoreline, and Drift Coffeehouse, which is only a short distance away.

I came for the hot tub and the advertised “deluxe” breakfast, but the tub was out of service and breakfast didn’t feel deluxe at all. Even the cereal was stale. The pool was gross, too. The location and view were good, and staff left clean towels at our door when we woke up. But the room felt dated, the coffee maker smelled, the phone was broken, the TV signal was terrible, and there were stains on the sheets. Screaming kids nearby made the view less enjoyable. I left bummed.

The view was amazing, but the room wasn’t. The floors hadn’t been swept, and there was hair all over the bathroom floor and shower. When my kid got out of the shower and picked up a towel, he ended up covered in someone else’s hair. I hate when people do their jobs halfway.

The rooms have been clean and well maintained both times I’ve stayed here in the past year. The staff are really friendly, and housekeeping always makes sure we have fresh towels. No complaints.
