The Roost Ocean Springs

We really liked how easy it was to relax here, with the pool, our room, and downtown all close by. The room was beautiful, comfortable, and clean, and we enjoyed the balcony above the pool too. maringouin had phenomenal food and service. The Roost was a wonderful stay, with easy access to the rest of downtown OS and plenty within walking distance. We'd love to come back and would highly recommend it.

We loved riding the golf carts around the city, especially after getting the tip to catch the sunset at east beach. We also had drinks at The Wilbur. Even with construction going on, they had a great outdoor bar set up with lovely live music. Hiram and everyone helping him deserve a special shoutout. We had such a good time at The Roost that we extended our stay as soon as we arrived and skipped our next stop in Mobile, AL. HIGHLY recommend staying here, and say hi to Hiram from us if you go!

The porch was perfect for morning coffee, and we felt safe walking downtown even at night. The location is really convenient, and the rooms were clean and refreshed every day. We didn't get a chance to use the pool, but saw plenty of people enjoying it. My husband and I chose The Roost to mark the end of a chapter in our lives, and we couldn't be happier with the choice. It's well worth the money and a perfect getaway.

We paid 350+ a night for the Monarch Suite for a birthday, and the room was ready early when I checked in on Tuesday. But construction went on throughout our trip, and nobody had told us about it. Workers were right outside our porch, about 10 feet from the front door. Work started again Wednesday around 7:15am, even though we were told it wouldn't start until 9:30am so we could have a restful night and morning. They were supposed to finish at 12:30pm but stayed into the evening, so I couldn't enjoy the porch or rocking chair. Noise from the room above us was unbearable too, and the stay wasn't peaceful or restful. We also weren't told that the bar and restaurant would be closed for our whole stay. When we tried the pool, staff were pressure washing the concrete around it. With the no-refund cancellation policy, we couldn't get our money back. This was not an enjoyable stay, and I won't stay again.
