Beachfront Only Vacation Rentals

The view was the part that made this feel like paradise, absolutely breathtaking. The place was beautiful throughout, with modern appliances, high-quality TVs, and beds that were incredibly comfortable. The hot tubs were clean and relaxing too. Everything beat our expectations, and I’d absolutely recommend it for a relaxing, high-end getaway.

The house itself was beautiful, and I tried hard to protect the floors and furniture. But water started coming through the ceiling while we were eating dinner around 6 pm on Friday, just two hours after our 4 pm check-in. We’d had rain all week, though the weekend was rainy only on Friday. I texted the customer service number they’d left for help. Someone came with two Lowes buckets and a towel, after I’d already put out towels and buckets from the kitchen. He said he needed to talk with his supervisor and that someone would have to check the attic for water trapped between the roof and ceiling. I heard nothing more. At 4 am the leak had spread everywhere. My husband and I moved the dining room table that was getting soaked, cleaned up, and put out fresh towels and more buckets. I think I used every bucket in the house. I texted again at 9 am on Saturday to say it was still leaking, and it had spread into the bedroom beside the dining room. Water shorted the bedroom fire alarm, which went off, and there was visible ceiling damage. I sent photos. A recessed lighting canister also came out of the ceiling in the front hallway, and I texted about that too. No one showed up for more than two hours, even though they knew about the leak from the night before. I left briefly, then came back and saw no change or update. When I asked, they told me to be patient because it was a holiday week, said the maintenance crew weren’t experts in roofs or leaks, and said the main contractor had been notified. I just wanted some peace of mind after dealing with leaks all weekend. I also noticed extensive water damage around the dining room chandelier that looked fresh and seemed to have made the same ceiling pattern as the current leak, so I think it had happened days before we arrived. On Sunday morning the bedroom leak got worse, and I had to pop it before it broke and sent water everywhere. This was stressful and not relaxing. I can honestly say I saved the flooring and furniture from more damage. I can’t imagine how bad it might have been if I hadn’t been there. I was also upset about the booking fees. I booked through VRBO, then realized I’d paid a booking fee to VRBO and Beachfront Only properties for the same reservation. I’d wanted a fun, relaxing beach weekend with my family, including my oldest, who lives out of state for college and loves the beach. I paid over $3K for Friday to Sunday, and staying at these properties isn’t cheap. When I asked for a refund, I had to go back and forth and beg to get $500 back, though I’d asked for at least one night refunded. I’m VERY DISAPPOINTED with how property management handled everything, especially given how much they praise their service on their website and all the fees they charge. Just take care of your customers. The properties are beautiful, but I’ll NEVER book through this management company again. I feel bad for the homeowner. Pictures don’t do it justice, you have to zoom in on the ceiling. TERRIBLE!

The team kept in touch well and took care of our questions and concerns right away. The spot was beautiful and organized, and we had everything we needed for a great stay.

We had such a good vacation with friends and family that we didn’t want to leave. The house was beautiful, clean, as described online, and a perfect size for our group. When I messaged the host because we’d forgotten a coffee grinder, one was brought over shortly. They also quickly answered when I asked where the mattresses came from, and responded promptly and kindly to all my questions. Can’t wait to go back!
