We were excited to have booked a king suite with a balcony. It was spacious and looked nice, but the room smelled strongly of vomit the moment we walked in. We reported it at the front desk and were told it would be cleaned. The odor was just as bad when we returned, so we asked to change rooms. They moved us to a noticeably less nice, cheaper room without a balcony instead of a comparable suite, and said they would not refund the difference in price. A front desk employee was very poor with customers and seemed uninterested in sorting this out. It was also frustrating that nobody ever answers the phone, which made it harder to communicate. We paid for a nicer suite and didn't get what we booked. The way the problem was handled made an already disappointing stay even worse. I expected much better service.

Dalia deserves a special mention for taking care of my request before we even arrived through Bonvoy app messaging. She was thoughtful and quick to respond. We had a fantastic stay at SpringHill Suites Oceanside, with a spacious, clean room and a comfortable modern layout. The location is hard to beat, just steps from the beach and in the middle of Oceanside's entertainment district. We could walk to the movie theater, bars, live entertainment, and lots of restaurants. We'd gladly stay again!

The rooftop pool and hot tub, with their ocean views, were a great place to unwind after a day at the beach. This Marriott property feels fresh and modern, with beach decor, cool murals, and spacious suites. Ours had a separate sitting area, a comfy sofa bed, mini-fridge, microwave, and work desk. Staff were friendly and helped with everything we asked. The location is excellent, about a block from the beach and Oceanside Pier, and a block or two from restaurants and shops. It's good value for a Marriott downtown. We'll be back, and I'd recommend it for a stay near the beach without spending too much. The one drawback was the parking garage. I've seen worse, but it was tight and there weren't many spaces.

The hot tub was a nice treat, and I barely noticed any noise from the nearby train line. My two-night stay at SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Oceanside was comfortable from the start. Check-in was smooth, and the spotless room was neatly arranged with a particularly comfortable bed and freshly laundered sheets, blankets, and pillowcases. The lobby was clean, modern, and welcoming. I also appreciated that the amenities, including reliable internet, didn't cost extra. The cleanliness, comfort, and thoughtful touches made for a fantastic stay. I'd recommend it and would happily return.

The room was great, and the service and cleanliness were fabulous. The location is superb too. On Friday nights there's a band on the patio, which we enjoyed, though it can get loud if that's not your thing. A train also passes in front of the hotel regularly. We liked that, but anyone sensitive to noise may prefer somewhere else.
