Fairfield Inn & Suites Orlando Ocoee

Maryann was so friendly and pointed us to a room near the stairs, which worked perfectly with a teenager along. It was easy to get to the car, and Smoothie King was close enough to walk to, which my teen loved. We were there for three nights. Breakfast was good, housekeeping did a great job, and we'd definitely come back.

I picked Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Orlando Ocoee because it's close to my workplace, and I travel from Miami to Ocoee a lot. I stayed Tuesday, February 3rd, to Wednesday, February 4th, and left my favorite New Balance 1906R sneakers, size 7, in the room by accident. I called that same day and spoke with two front desk employees. Neither had found them or could explain what happened. I called again the next day and got the same answer. It's hard to believe the shoes just disappeared on the day I checked out. The room had to be cleaned after I left, and the lack of accountability makes me strongly suspect the person who cleaned it took them. They were a special gift from someone dear to me, so this has been especially upsetting. Guests need to be able to trust that their belongings are safe, even if they leave something behind by mistake. The hotel also charges extra fees at check-in supposedly for insurance. It feels old and not very comfortable, and it doesn't meet the standards I expect from a Marriott property. I had a Holiday Inn just minutes away and regret not choosing it. I travel often, and I won't stay here again or recommend it.

We got a special online rate of $130 instead of $169, though that price wasn't available for the next night. The hotel seemed new, was very clean, and had comfortable beds with plenty of fast, hot water. Breakfast was free and had a pretty thorough selection. The area felt safe and was quiet, with no noisy businesses or highway sounds, and plenty of stores nearby. We also enjoyed the hot tub for about 15 minutes.

I was told the day before that there was no availability, but the front end manager helped me stay an extra night. She was very professional and went the extra mile, which I appreciate since that kind of customer service feels rare these days. My room was very clean and had everything I needed to be comfortable.
