Norseman Resort

The beds were really comfortable and the view was lovely. Our room, 326, had two king beds and was on the third floor, with stairs and no elevator. The shower was clean, had good pressure, and even had a TV, though it was a little small. We had a nice weekend at The Norseman, which has the unbeatable spot as the only hotel on the beach. Downtown bars, restaurants, and shops are a short 5-10 minute walk away, or the trolley will pick you up outside for $5. Parking is included, but some rooms use the large beach lot. It wasn’t a problem off season, though when busy you could be parked a long way from the entrance. Our room also turned out to be haunted! Drawers opened, trash bins moved overnight, and a swivel chair by the door shifted on its own. The ghost seemed to like sitting there and watching the view 😂. There’s a light panel for the border lights along the wainscoting, and we couldn’t figure out how to turn it off. The lights came on briefly every few hours, though maybe that was the ghost too 😂. The screen door was coming away at the edge and needs fixing. I wish it locked, since we would’ve liked to leave the sliding glass doors open at night and listen to the ocean. Staff were very friendly, and there’s a small lobby fridge with sodas and a few alcoholic drinks for sale, which was handy. A lovely weekend, ghosts included!
