The shower was great, the TV was extra large, and the bed was really comfortable. Breakfast was good, and I’d definitely stay again. I did feel safe despite the homeless people around, though OKC needs to handle that situation better. Horse people spend thousands of dollars there and need to feel safe. Check-in was too strict about the time, especially after I’d driven 20 hours and could’ve used an early arrival. The price was also considerably higher than advertised.

Avid Hotel is probably one of the best hotels in OKC, with good service and a comfortable atmosphere. The area was kept up each morning, and the rooms were generally clean. I did wonder if the sheets had been changed, though, and a couple of pillows still had makeup stains. I’d call it a solid four-star stay.

We needed a place for a quick trip to OKC, and this IHG hotel brand worked just right. Staff were friendly, attentive, and always available to help, with no waits. The rooms were super clean and the beds comfy. There was a gym and breakfast area, and the rooms had a mini-fridge; the microwave was in the lobby.

I really love this hotel and the other staff, but the older woman working the front desk on weekday days left a bad taste in my mouth. She wouldn’t let me check in until my Tour director Erik from Tornadic Expeditions got there, because the names listed for the room were mixed up. Earlier, I called to ask about a shuttle, and she said they don’t have afternoon shuttles, then hung up. I’ve also heard other guests say she was insane.
