Best Western Plus Yukon

For a $90 room, I expected way less. We had clean rooms, a clean, warm pool, a hot hot tub, and fresh towels. Breakfast is free and easily worth $15 per person. It’s easy to get to and in a great location. I’ll absolutely stay here every time I’m in Yukon.

The breakfast wasn’t awful, but choices were scarce by 8 a.m. because employees were sitting there eating before customers. The gravy was like gravy water, so stick to the waffles or toast. The fancy coffee machine only gave hot water, and the big coffee thermos was empty. The hot tub is listed but was drained and cordoned off, while the small pool was crowded. We could hear neighbors’ TVs all night through the thin walls, along with people running up and down the hall. The outside door didn’t seal completely, so highway sirens carried in all night. Our shower drain was clogged, leaving us with something like half a shower and half a bath. Next time I’ll spend a little more for a better hotel.

The pool and hot tub were spotless and salt water, and the kids loved them. For one night, this motel is clean and very affordable, right off I-40. But it’s a smoking hotel, and the smoke smell hits you as you enter. There are two wings, and we unfortunately came in through the smoking wing after parking. It was awful. Our room was non-smoking, but I woke up with a headache, congestion, and puffy eyes. I’m not sure whether that came from the air quality or pet dander left by previous guests. If you’re not sensitive to air quality, it’s a great option. If you are, skip it.

Very nice and clean, with a comfortable bed. There’s a pool, laundry, and exercise room on the property, and it looked like families were having a good time at the pool.
