Embassy Suites Oklahoma City Downtown/Medical Center

The staff were very friendly and attentive, and breakfast had a plentiful range of options, seemingly everything you could think of. The indoor pool was so chilly that we didn't swim, even though we wanted to. We were there for a family weekend with four people, and the rooms felt tight with a bedroom and pullout sofa bed. They were fairly clean overall, but our comforter had blood and another nasty stain on it. That was definitely not okay.

The staff were helpful and had great attitudes, and the clean, spacious rooms made for an amazing stay. I really enjoyed the indoor saltwater pool. Breakfast was included as a buffet, with omelets made to order. There are smoking sections around the building.

The service was terrible, even though everything else was what we'd expect from an Embassy Suites. Breakfast staff need better training, or perhaps should work in the back kitchen. They should greet guests with smiles, be helpful, and know their roles in cooking, serving, and taking care of people. Comments, lectures, or jokes directed at guests are inappropriate. Maybe that kind of thing is normal in a small town, but it's not right for this hotel tier. Embassy Suites is a worldwide brand with visitors from all over, and staff should stay professional, positive, respectful, and communicate appropriately. This location has the worst customer service by far. It doesn't meet the Embassy Suites standard, and local upper management needs to address it. The hotel should be downgraded.

We had our own cleaning supplies with us as a precaution, and were glad of that after checking in late and exhausted. There was Foundation makeup on the counter and in the sink, along with stray hairs, and the shower door leaked. The hotel felt safe, and otherwise the room was nice. It was also close to the doctor's appointment we were traveling to the next morning. The breakfast buffet was pretty disappointing.
