Garner Hotel Oklahoma City - Quail Springs by IHG

The beds were really comfortable, and the hotel was very clean overall. The bathroom was a bit dirtier, though, and the lotion bottle had no top so I couldn’t use it. There were only two towels for the three of us, or four if you count my grandson. I rarely saw employees, and the ones I did encounter were rude. Breakfast wasn’t great either. We stayed three days, but I don’t think I’ll return.

Nice room, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. The TV acted kind of squirrely, but I’d been warned about that when I asked for a first-floor room, so I knew what to expect. I’d stay here again.

Breakfast was about what I expected, and the hotel itself was fine. The TV guide in the room listed lots of channels, but only around 20% actually worked. When I asked, the desk said Cox was updating service and there wasn’t anything they could do. They didn’t apologize, and I wish they’d told us at check-in.

The bed was comfortable, but I left disappointed and wouldn’t stay here again. The room felt dark and drab, with no coffee maker, an old microwave I wasn’t sure worked properly, and a fridge that needed defrosting. The bathroom was only somewhat clean, had no hand wash, and the tub wouldn’t drain. Water also cut off randomly. There wasn’t really a dresser, and the climate control swung between hot and freezing. With the AC on it got very cold, then the room heated up as soon as it shut off. We were put on the first floor because we had dogs, and the hotel charged $25 per animal. It seemed like all the guests were placed in the same area. People slammed doors all night, and we could hear a lot through the walls, so we didn’t sleep well. Breakfast was mediocre: watered-down juice, fruit that looked bad, unappealing oatmeal, and runny eggs. I went with pastries and coffee. I’d expected a better experience after seeing that the hotel had been remodeled and renamed. At arrival someone was at the desk, but they had disappeared by the time I entered. I had to say hello twice before anyone came over, and I was barely greeted. The desk also seemed unattended when I passed by later. That wasn’t what I usually experience at an IHG hotel.
