OK Hotel

The location is okay, close to downtown and other places up the road. The rooms are often in poor condition, with bugs, bedbugs, and mice reported inside. They don't clean rooms until you leave, and the office isn't very helpful. Sometimes they seem to try to keep some of your money and charge you extra.

The location looked so run down that we almost left without going in: paint was peeling off outside and the upper deck was rusty. After reading reviews, we decided to try it, and regretted it. The OK Hotel in Oklahoma City was the worst hotel I've stayed in, even compared with $30 roadside motels that were cleaner and safer. The room was crawling with bugs everywhere, and the bed was falling apart. Its mattress felt lumpy and stained, like it hadn't been replaced since 1990 or properly cleaned. I didn't want to put my luggage on the floor. The bathrooms were a disgrace too: toilets barely flushed, sinks barely ran, and the smell was unbearable. It felt like a public restroom shut down since 2020. In the hallways, the stench of drugs, mold, and body odor was so bad it made me wonder if it was safe to breathe. The pool was supposed to be “open and ready” on the website, but it was stagnant green and black water with bugs floating on top. It smelled like something had died in it. Nobody in their right mind would swim there. The whole property felt neglected, with no sign of proper housekeeping, sanitation, or basic care. It felt dangerous as well as disgusting. As we left soon after arriving, a man who grew up in the area saw us going and told me to get myself and my daughters away from there as quickly as possible because it wasn't safe. This place is a health hazard. I'm shocked it's still open, and think the health department should inspect it and shut it down immediately. Nobody should have to pay to sleep in filth and fear. Don't waste your money here. I'd sleep in my car or on a park bench before bringing my family back. If the owners don't care enough to keep the place clean, they shouldn't run a hotel. This was more a warning than a stay: stay far away.

The bed collapsed as soon as we sat down, and drug deals were happening right outside our room. On top of that, the website showed a fully working pool, but it was empty when we arrived. When we contacted the staff, they said we were lying and claimed it was working, so I went outside and took a picture. Maybe we could've gotten past the pool, but all in all it was a wonderfully terrible stay, run by mostly terrible staff.

The hallway smelled awful, the pool looked like a swamp, and there were roaches on the walls as soon as we walked into the room. Would give 0 stars if I could. Do not stay here.
