There aren’t many guests, so there wasn’t much crowd noise, but the hotel is very run down. It was probably a real nice place once. The exterior doors don’t lock at all. Housekeeping stood against a wall by our rooms at 9am, even though checkout was at 11, and we felt rushed. No breakfast, no hot tub, and no locks on the room doors, just locks and bolts hanging on with whatever spare screws they could find. It’s an okay cheap place, but it isn’t what the website advertises. Hopefully someone can come in and make it great again.

The adjective I’d use for this hotel is “shabby.” It was lucky we only needed a room to sleep in. The pool is out of order until further notice, and the laundry facilities are out of order too. We reserved a room with a pullout and checked in around 6 p.m., even though the reservation said they might not have the right room type after 9. But the room we got had no pullout. The mini-fridge wasn’t in the furniture alcove, and the TV only seemed to get broadcast channels. There are lots of businesses nearby, at least.

The great water pressure, temperature control, and plenty of parking were about all I liked. The room was dirty, dark, and rundown. Travelweekly shows a renovation in 2016, but I must not have been in that part of the hotel. The curtains had green and yellow spots that the morning sun highlighted. Bedding had burn spots and stains, and I couldn’t tell if it was clean. The carpet was matted and had burn spots; the AC unit was hanging out of its wall spot. The fridge barely worked, and the freezer shelf left the ice cream bars I bought melted. Stairs from the main lobby to the second floor were narrow, then there was a long, dimly lit, creepy hallway. The Wyndham website has five-star reviews praising the hot tub and room cleanliness, but NO WAY those are real when that same page says the hot tub is out of service. The website said breakfast was included, but the sign said “no breakfast until further notice.”

People were nice, and the main room was okay, but the place was extremely worn. There was still a used wash rag in the shower. The halls were dim, though there are working security cameras throughout. Outside, the large lighting systems were completely broken, and the building needs a major makeover, even just an honest, good paint job.

The staff did their best, but the hotel is outrageously outdated, falling apart, and doesn’t deliver on any amenities. The gym, pool, and breakfast have been shut for a long, long time. The bedrooms are pretty dirty, dated, and smelly, and the AC units sound like jumbo jets taking off. The staff are clearly frustrated with the endless list of things to fix, while management hasn’t brought in contractors. It’s time to close this place for 6 months, make it safe, remove the cockroaches and mold, and safeguard the electricity before reopening. They didn’t even have cribs or covers for dirty duvets. I’d never stay here again and highly recommend choosing another hotel that doesn’t stink of smoke.
