Hotel Dylan

This has become a birthday weekend tradition for us, and this was my third year at Hotel Dylan. The stay always feels special, and I'm already looking forward to next year. It's a great place to properly unwind: peaceful and tucked away, but still near everything in Woodstock. The rooms are spacious, full of character, and beautifully designed. I especially like the record players, such a cozy, distinctive touch. The staff are always kind, welcoming, and genuinely helpful.

The music theme is fun even if you're not a music fan. Each room is named after an artist who played at the original Woodstock festival, and a famous interior designer decorated them. The rooms are beautiful, and the boutique hotel itself is clean and cozy. The property also has Santa Fe, a wonderful gourmet Mexican restaurant, plus an adorable lobby bar and fireplace. You really don't need to leave unless you want to.

Just minutes from downtown Woodstock, Hotel Dylan had clean, spacious rooms and a really friendly, accommodating staff. We had a wonderful stay and will be back. I'd recommend it to friends.

Daryl was welcoming and helped us get settled, and his pups were adorable. We were glad Hotel Dylan takes pets, and our dog got a ball and a Hotel Dylan charm. The stay also came with a little s'mores kit. Bring your own dog bed if you're traveling with a pup, since the room doesn't include one. We had the Cocker room downstairs by the parking lot. It was clean and roomy, with a large bathroom and a fairly comfortable bed. The walls are thin, and we heard people walking around upstairs both at night and in the morning, so ask for a top floor if that might bother you. The shower could have been warmer for my taste, since I like scalding water. We used the $10 per person day pass discount at 28 west gym across the road, and enjoyed the fire pits at night. Downtown was an easy, quick drive, though I can imagine parking being hard there during the busy season. A shuttle from the hotel would be great. The hotel is also close to trails. We had a nice stay and hope to come back in summer or fall to enjoy more nature.
