The Windmill Motel

This is a nice small-town motel, and the post office is, I think, within walking distance. We checked in after dark, and everyone was real nice. We were traveling with two dogs who aren’t very socialized, so we asked to be away from other guests and they put us at the end. I missed having a working refrigerator and a microwave. Without those, we had to get DoorDash or pizza every night. The pizza at the gas station across the street, the one that isn’t Shell, was the best I’ve had in a long time. I don’t know if all rooms have the same setup as ours. I do recommend the Windmill. If something’s missing or breaks, let the front desk know.

A few months ago, my partner stayed here and was really pleased with the hospitality and customer service from the motel staff. He’s a hard-working truck driver, and he said he got the best sleep here. He also enjoyed a great calzone from the restaurant across the street. Thank you all for the devoted service 😊

The place felt sketchy, and the room wasn’t worth even $80. It looked old, with paint over mold on the walls and bare concrete floors with no carpet. Online, the room was listed at 80-something dollars, but at check-in they charged us 100-something because only two rooms were left. That price gouging was a bad start.
