Kim made our stay in Onancock feel personal from the minute we arrived. She greeted us as we pulled in, helped haul our embarrassingly overpacked bags upstairs, and showed us around the inn. Even the sandwich board outside welcomed us by name, then by our nicknames the next day. She seemed to remember every small thing guests mentioned and find a way to make people feel cared for. After we talked about missing our dog, she lent us a book of dog stories. She even put the hockey game on in the living room for another couple staying in that night. We stayed in the Provence Room, with lavender bath salts, books about Provence, French music CDs and a CD player, plus a fleur-de-lis on the door. At 7:30 each morning, coffee arrived in a carafe made just how we liked it. There was also a hallway Keurig with regular and decaf coffee and tea available during the day. The breakfasts were some of the best we've had anywhere. Each morning began with homemade granola, yogurt, and fresh fruit salad, followed by a hot meal. We had savory French toast with a poached egg, soufflé, and vegetable quiche made with fresh farmers market vegetables. Everything felt thoughtful and homemade. The evening “Wine Down” was lovely too, with hors d'oeuvres Kim prepared each night. The roasted red pepper hummus, feta, roasted tomatoes, and rosemary marcona almonds were so good, and guests could relax, share stories, and trade recommendations. We missed the first evening while rushing to dinner, but Kim noticed we were tired and didn't drink wine, so she brought tea with lemon and sparkling water to our room. The next day she remembered and asked, “Iced tea with lemon again?” Her advice also shaped our weekend. We had planned a nature trail and a swim at Cape Charles, but she suggested bringing our swimsuits to the trail instead. That ended up being the highlight of the trip, a hidden gem where we practically had the place to ourselves. We’ll be hard-pressed to enjoy another bed and breakfast as much. Kim clearly takes real joy in creating meaningful experiences and making guests feel special. It felt like staying with someone who truly loves hospitality. We'll absolutely return, and can't recommend the Inn at Onancock highly enough.

Kim, Matt, and Kira were wonderful hosts during our great stay in the Maine room. They helped us book an adventure to Tangier Island, and their wine down hour and incredible breakfasts were highlights. The home is a gem, and so are the people who host it. We made lots of fun memories on the Eastern Shore. Thank you for everything!

Our hosts were warm and welcoming, and all the local tips they shared made our short visit even better. We only spent one night at The Inn at Onancock, but loved it. The house is beautiful, our room was really comfortable, and the little touches made it feel special. Wine and cheese hour was a lovely extra, and breakfast the next morning was delicious. Wish we could've stayed longer. Highly recommend if you're in the area!

Kim was a fantastic host, and every recommendation she gave us for our visit turned out to be a winner. Add the location and cozy vibe, and this place is an easy A+. I only wish I lived closer so I could stay here more often. So good.

The location was excellent, and parking was good. Kim was very pleasant, and our room was clean, spacious, and nicely decorated. We had a great stay and would stay again.
