Quality Inn Oneida near Casino

The second star is because I’ve stayed in worse places, and this could work for a solo business trip in a pinch if nothing else were available. After eight nights across two stays, though, I’d rate it a firm 2. The quality doesn’t justify the price. There was no hot breakfast as advertised, and the rooms could’ve been cleaner. Both times I had to wait at the desk, looking at their dirty laundry room, until someone happened by because there was no bell. They refused my late checkout on the first stay even though I’m a platinum member. They approved it the second time, but at 11:10 the housekeeper still knocked hard and came in anyway because the inside door lock didn’t work. Five minutes later, the same guy who checked me in called to ask whether I had late checkout. You’d be better off at their cheaper counterpart over 20 minutes away in Utica. That one’s a 3.

The room is adorable and the bed is really comfortable. There are lots of stores and restaurants nearby, and everyone I’ve met working here has been so nice. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

The room was clean, but it smelled overwhelmingly of stale cigarettes. Room spray and perfume couldn’t cover it up, even after I sprayed, left, and tried again. The smell was so strong and unpleasant that nothing else mattered.

George at the front desk made our bachelor party stay easy and welcoming. He was kind, professional, and a big help the whole time, and the rest of the staff took good care of us too. Our small group found the location convenient, the rooms clean, and the amenities solid. We had a great stay and would come back.
