Best Western Premier The Tides

Kara at the Lobby sorted out my booking mess at the last minute and got us the room we wanted. That's what great service looks like. It's only my second day here, but the location, food options nearby, and service have all been awesome. They sell out fast, so highly recommend booking.

The bed was the one letdown. It felt like sleeping on the floor, and when I told the front desk, they said everyone complained about the beds. You'd think they'd try to improve that so guests could have a better stay. Aside from that, the hotel was wonderful, the location was great, and everyone was great.

The breakfast buffet had loads of choices, and the chef-made crepes and omelets were especially good. My boyfriend and I went back for seconds every morning. The beds were comfortable too, and we slept amazingly. Rain greeted us when we arrived for our first Orange Beach trip, but the kind staff kept us in the loop and made sure we had indoor activities so we could stay cozy. The place was clean, welcoming, and relaxing, with a path from the pool and hot tub area straight to the beach. We had a perfect trip thanks to The Tides Hotel, and would happily return and recommend it to anyone visiting Orange Beach.

No hot water for showers was a big problem for us Midwest people. I also thought I'd booked an ocean-view room, but ours only had a side view, which felt misleading. And no coffee maker in the room? What hotel doesn't provide coffee? It sucks. If we hadn't already paid, we wouldn't have stayed. It was a totally uncomfortable trip, and we won't be back. The rooms and hotel were clean, and the staff were friendly. After I complained, a staff member came to work on the hot water. He was very nice and understanding, and I appreciate that they took the complaint seriously.
