There was a beeping sound from a maintenance closet the whole time we were there. The pool layout also concerned me: its 5 ft section is in the middle, with 3 ft to 4 ft sections on either side. That seems like a safety issue for small children. We also had a large group of guests who were rude and inconsiderate. Their kids screamed in the hallways, slammed doors, and loudly sang cheers every night past midnight, while the adults didn’t keep an eye on them. The group left trash all over the pool patio and piled it by the bin, played loud music all night, and ate and drank in the water. They took over the pool so other guests couldn’t enjoy it. We emailed the management company and got no reply. Other guests we spoke to at the beach had the same experience and had also emailed without hearing back. As for the condo itself, it was nice and looked clean, but there was a horrible moldy, mildew smell. I couldn’t figure out where it came from. We wondered if it was a moldy mop or dirty mop water from the cleaning company. I mopped the floors again and the odor improved. The owner apologized and offered to reimburse the cleaning products, but it took two days to get a response. I’d suggest staying elsewhere for an orange beach vacation.

Condo #302 had a strong musty, moldy odor, and we saw roaches during our stay. It was hard to feel comfortable, and the smell and pests raised real concerns about cleanliness and health standards. The balcony furniture cushions need replacing, the couch needs cleaning, and the vents need a thorough clean. The location and setup have potential, but the property needs deep cleaning, pest control, and better maintenance before it’s ready for guests.

Really nice place. The one problem was the floors. They looked clean, and I think they were, but it seemed like they’d been mopped without being rinsed properly. After walking barefoot, my feet were so black each day that I had to wash them before getting into bed. Apart from that, it was great!

The Four Winds is such a clean, comfortable, relaxing condo, and the price is reasonable too. Rick, one of the owners, is just the nicest person. I can’t say enough good things about him or The Four Winds! ❤

It’s a small condominium with a homey feel, unlike the big complexes around it. There’s a beach bathroom, a great pool, and a nice boardwalk over the dunes to the beach. Parking is close to the building. I’ve been coming here for 15 years and wouldn’t stay anywhere else. If you’re looking to book, you can do so without worries.
