The pull-out bed was unusable. Its mattress had large dark stains that looked like mold or water damage, and there was more discoloration and rust underneath when we turned it over. That felt unsanitary for a rental costing $796.63. The unit seemed neglected in many other ways too. The walls had stains and marks, and the living room ceiling had dark patches and visible cracks that might have been moisture damage. The vent was dusty. There was a dehumidifier, but the air was so humid when we entered that the carpet felt damp. Even the number sign outside looked dingy, with the “2” drawn on in red marker. In the bedrooms, the small-room blinds were broken and their chairs were stained and dated. The master curtain was broken, the bed was very hard and had no headboard, and there was no ceiling light, just mismatched bedside lamps. The closet was packed with old decorations, leaving no room for luggage. The furniture was old and awkwardly arranged, the lighting was dim, and random dining chairs took up space. The listing photos made the place look more inviting than it was. We also found streaky, dirty windows that made it harder to enjoy the ocean view, which was one of the main reasons we booked. The TVs were small and old, the surround sound didn't work, and there were barely enough towels and only one or two thin blankets for cold nights. The thermostat was hard to control, there were no garbage bags, and the whole unit gave a neglected impression. For that price, I expected a clean, maintained rental. This felt more like a dated budget motel. I have photos of everything I mentioned.

I come down every year, and this was the worst place I've stayed. We were in condo 705, and the listing pictures were nothing like the actual unit. There was what looked like bed bug droppings in a corner and on the ceiling, the walls were filthy, and paint was peeling off the ceiling and exposing drywall. The light bars and the areas behind the doors were rusty, and an outlet was covered with Band aids where a proper cover should have been. We barely had hot water, and the fridge took more than 24 hours to cool down. We had to keep our food in coolers so it wouldn't spoil. The beds were the cheapest kind and falling apart. We showed these problems in pictures and brought them to their attention, but nothing was done. The service we got was just as bad. I'd advise people never to stay here.

UNIT 302! The condo was dirty and in pitiful shape, and we had no hot water in a room meant for eight people. The reservation had already been made when the beach condo was moved under Avari by Casago and the onsite property management team. After my first attempt to shower on night one, I started calling. For four days I spent hours on the phone trying to get other accommodation, but they kept denying our requests and offered no solution. A plumber came to the unit and told both us and them that the water heater was outdated and too small. On my last call, the supervisor hung up on me. If zero stars were an option, it would fit this experience.

Orange Beach sits between Mobile and Gulf Shores on one side, and Pensacola and Panama City Beaches on the other. The coastline is emerald, the beaches are bright white, and there's plenty to do on the water. Most of the construction is finished and all the pools are open. The balcony views stretch in every direction, north, south, east, and west.

I was a guest in someone else's suite for one night. The rooms were nice, with a decent-sized kitchen and living area, but the beds were really uncomfortable. There aren't free ice machines, so you're mostly paying for the views and being close to the beach. I don't know what it cost, so I can't say if it was worth the price. They'll issue only two parking passes at most. Park somewhere else without paying and you risk getting towed. I'd recommend Ruby slipper/premium parking.
