Summer Salt 24170

We had a great stay at this new house at the end of February with two other couples. It's set up well for a family or a few couples, with a large downstairs master and three upstairs bedrooms, each with its own full bath. The upstairs beds are queens in two rooms, and I think the third has full-size bunks. The kitchen is stocked, and the living and dining areas work well for a big group. GPS gets you mostly there, since the neighborhood is new. For a landmark, turn onto the road between Doc's and Ruby Slipper, both good restaurants within walking distance. We drove to the beach. Across from the neighborhood and to the left there's a nice access with plenty of parking and restrooms. Pay the $10 day parking fee, since they were checking receipts. Places we liked nearby were The Gulf, Coastal Orange Beach, Brick and Spoon, OSO Bear Point, and Florabama. There was still some construction, mostly what looked like finishing work and painting inside, but it didn't affect our stay and should be done soon. The house has a large pool, though we didn't use it this trip. Doesn't disappoint!
