This is a clean, nice, basic condo without any extras. In Condo 202 there wasn't a can opener or a drain stopper, and the beds sloped inward. The patio door was hard to use, but maintenance came promptly and fixed it. The walk-in shower was nice, though the shower head was too far from the bench to rinse off while sitting there. Patio furniture wasn't comfortable. Parking wasn't a problem at the end of the season, but I can see it being tight in peak summer. The pool was fine, though some shade umbrellas would help, and I bet it gets crowded in summer. You can rent beach chairs and umbrellas, and the rental company was very nice.

The main drawback was the limited parking. Keep track of your parking pass, since they enforce it strictly and may issue a ticket if they ask to see it. The sixth floor has elevators and plenty of sleeping space. The balcony, living area, and kitchen all face the water, with a beautiful Gulf view. There's a washer and dryer on site and large walk-in showers. The kitchen has a dishwasher, coffee pot, oven, large fridge, and lots of counter space.

The property was disgusting, and I felt uncomfortable from the moment I pulled into the parking lot. I paid $1,000 for three nights, but you couldn't go out on the balcony and the pools were closed. What a horrible experience. It was my first time in Alabama and it'll be my last. If I could give this place zero stars, I would.

There are several stores nearby, and I was able to walk to one. There's a crosswalk close by too. The place is pretty and has a beach view, with a nice pool, kiddie pool, indoor hot tub, ping pong table, and fitness room.

Summerchase has a lot to offer, including indoor and outdoor pools, a hot tub, kiddie pool, BBQ area, volleyball net, fitness center, and meeting room. It's the best run COA on the island and checks all the boxes. The board brings a wealth of knowledge, stays proactive, and has a thorough hurricane preparation plan. There are two, three, and four bedroom units. Parking can be limited in summer, so plan ahead.
