Tradewinds #002

We ended up in a very poor unit with lots of problems, especially a refrigerator that didn’t work. We had to throw away food. We should’ve reported the fridge sooner instead of trying to manage on our own. The replacement fridge has no ice maker. They said they’d bring ice trays, but three weeks later we’re still waiting. They say the trays are on order. We picked some up at a thrift store, but they’re terrible. There’s also a code required to get into the pool area. One day our code didn’t work, and luckily a security guard happened by and gave us a new one. It’s unreal that guests aren’t told when the code changes.

The location is great, and I’ve stayed here before in a different unit. In 706, some areas like the bathrooms need updating. Whoever cleans needs a fresh mop, and the coffee maker could have been usable if its pot hadn’t been broken. I asked the rental company for a replacement, but never got one. The pool was nice and the elevators were fast. I’d stay again, but in a different unit.

We had the most beautiful condo and an amazing view. We didn’t want to leave. We got in from Arkansas around 10 pm, and the view from the living room and balcony impressed us so much that we couldn’t sleep. We spent most of the night at the table with the balcony door open, listening to the waves crash. It was the perfect Airbnb for the price. Loved it, and we’ll be back in the summer.

A two bedroom condo on the 4th floor gave our family a perfect ocean view from the balcony. Getting around was easy, with beach access, easy parking, and super fast elevators. It was also an easy drive to lots of places to eat and three grocery stores. Adventure Island is directly across the road, an easy walk for mini golf, go carts, and games. It’s a great place to stay in the Orange Beach area, with anything you might need for a good time in Gulf Shores or Orange Beach just one mile in either direction.
