Wind Drift 704E by RedAwning

Our last week of June here was great, and we'll definitely return. We stayed in 712. The unit was great, and while any place will have minor issues, the workers doing renovations in other units and regular upkeep were respectful. We spent most of our time on the beach, which felt almost private since there's no one to the west of WInd Drift. The short time we spent by the pool was good too. It's not a massive resort condo, so there aren't crowds of people or 15 other condos sharing the beach. If you're after a nice, relaxing vacation, this place is high on the list.

Unit 404 was disgusting. There was black mold on the air vents, the washer was missing knobs and wouldn't spin our clothes out, and the kitchen utensils were dirty. The bedroom furniture looked like it had been thrown out for the garbage truck. The railings outside the buildings were all covered in plastic, the windows were taped up with painters tape, and cardboard was taped all inside the elevators. The owners need to sell it to someone who cares or do a major renovation.

The owners live right in the building and were so welcoming. That made us feel at home instead of like we were intruding, which has happened in other condos I've stayed in. A great condo.

The noise carried through the whole building all day and continued past 4 pm. The stairwell was being worked on with pneumatic chisels to remove loose and cracked concrete, and nobody told us the renovation was underway. Not impressed.
