I’d only point someone here if they’re on a tight budget. The bed felt nice, and the stand-up shower was comfortable. Service was good, and I didn’t see roaches or bed bugs. The sheets looked slept in, though, and I only had two pillows. It looks like they’re at least trying to renovate, but may not have the funds, which could be why it was cheap online. The no-visitors rule is diabolical, though I can understand it in a way.

I’ve been here about a month and a half and would gladly stay again. The friendly staff and management went out of their way to accommodate my needs as a disabled guest. The property still has issues, but they’re working to fix them as quickly as they can. I hope they eventually add accessible rooms, since the bathroom door is too narrow for a wheelchair to get through. I was told it’s under new management and they’re working hard on renovations and upgrades, dealing with problems inherited from the previous owners. It’s an older property, likely built in the early ‘60s, so it has some character, but upkeep is ongoing and major repairs take time and cost a lot.

The only respect and help I’ve gotten here came from the Quest and the House keeper. The managers are rude and disrespectful. They put us in a room that wasn’t ready to rent: the toilet wouldn’t flush, the sink was about to fall down, the cold water didn’t work, there was no TV, microwave, or fridge, and the heater barely worked. It’s better than it used to be, but this place needs better people running it. The workers are disrespected and treated like dogs, too.

People in orangeburg say this place is bad, but honestly, it wasn’t that bad for me. My room was clean, didn’t smell bad, and had a smart tv. I didn’t see any roaches. The housekeeper was respectful, let me spray my sheets with bleach, and helped me get into a good room.
