Wine Stone Inn

Those complimentary snacks and wine made our evenings especially nice, and breakfast had plenty of tasty choices to get us ready to explore. We found the room clean, spacious, and beautifully looked after, just right for a relaxing break. The warm welcome and thoughtful touches around the Wine Stone Inn impressed us from the start. It was a wonderful stay with comfort and great value, and we can’t wait to return.

There are plenty of food and drink spots a short walk away, though the town itself is small and quiet. For the price, this place is a great value, with lots of parking and an easy check-in. We appreciated the complimentary snacks and sparkling wine. The balcony looks toward rolling hills, where we watched cattle grazing. Inside, the room was thoughtfully furnished, with two comfortable bathrobes, a coffee pod machine, and a quilt laid across the end of the bed. The large shower had good pressure. There was a steamer, though I didn’t spot an iron. The mattress had a full encasement to help prevent bed bugs. Everything was spotless except for a few stains on the bathroom door.

The remotes were hard to use and didn’t work properly, which was my only complaint. The fresh fruit at breakfast was the highlight, though the rest of the continental spread was decent too. It’s a quiet part of town, and the hills make for a beautiful view. The beds were comfortable, and the facility was well maintained, with care put into the little details. Staff were friendly, and Domick at the front desk was excellent.

Free parking and reasonable rates were a plus, along with the complimentary bottle of sparkling wine and snacks. This is a very cute boutique hotel in Old Orcutt, with clean, well-equipped rooms. There’s also an onsite bar and gathering spot with a big-screen TV and faux fireplace. It’s a bit out of the way, but if you’re in northern Santa Barbara County or Santa Maria, you can’t go wrong with this little gem. I’d stay again.
