Airport Motel

We had several rooms booked for relatives coming in from different states for a family memorial service. Jennifer, the manager, was especially kind and understanding, and the whole staff was wonderful. There was coffee, two kinds of juice, and plenty of breakfast options throughout the morning. When one juice ran out, it was refilled right away. Any request or need from our family was taken care of immediately.

The room was clean and tidy, and the price seemed about average for this kind of hotel. The A/C barely worked, though, so I waited until it got dark before opening the window to cool the room. They don’t allow pets anywhere in the building. I travel with my dog, and since everything within an hour of Ord, NE was booked, I had to leave him in the van overnight.

The woman at the desk was very nice, and she gets five stars from me. Our first room wasn’t ready, but they moved us without any hassle. It’s a quiet little place, with the rooms at two stars and the location at three. Ask about the price first, though: $95 for a single bed, and for that much I expected a lot better.

When my boss stayed two nights during the first week of February 2016, he said there had been a big renovation, with more improvements planned. He had no trouble with noise, slept well, and reported no bed bugs. He recommended the place. I hadn’t stayed there yet when I first heard this, and the usual $53.00 per night seemed a little steep given the reviews, so I said I might update my rating after trying it. I stayed about a month later, and the hotel was as he’d described. My room was near the back entrance, though, and that door slams loudly instead of closing quietly. By 5 a.m. people were using it so often that I couldn’t sleep, even though my alarm wasn’t set until 7. Maybe they’ve fixed the door since.
