Hampton Inn & Suites Orem

The suite was spacious, clean, and nice, and we enjoyed the clean indoor pool and hot tub. The location was convenient too. They have coffee, tea, and cocoa available all day, which we appreciated.

Check-in was easy and smooth, and the room was awesome, clean, and nice. Good service and a nice breakfast too. We really enjoyed staying here.

I asked for a quiet room and got four hours of sleep. The walls and floors seem cheaply built without sound insulation. There was a barking dog, kids running around, someone stomping upstairs, and furniture moving and exercising until 2 a.m., then it all started again at 6. Does that sound good to you? The continental breakfast was the only good part. Bring earplugs.

Update: The hotel manager, Kat, called my room today. She was kind, very apologetic, and seemed genuinely concerned about what happened and about improving the feel of the trip. I really appreciated her effort to sort things out. Brittany at the desk last night was amazing too. Maybe my experience with Skyler wasn't typical, and they'll train him to meet the customer service standard the other employees seem to have. The Jacuzzi issue was frustrating, but they explained that a part had to be ordered. It was unexpected and, according to the person I spoke with, it had never been out of order this long before. Bad timing for our trip, but not something they could control. The rest of the staff have been amazing, and I would recommend the hotel. The breakfast options are very good too. Original: Right when we walked in, the front desk person had a snappy attitude. Skyler could have been much nicer. We chose this hotel partly for the Jacuzzi, but nobody told us it was out of service before it was too late to pick somewhere else. I'll add more as the trip goes on. Hopefully it gets better.
