I stayed here for three months while on a work contract and loved the peace and quiet. The area is beautiful to walk around, and having a private bathroom and shower was great. The owner was accommodating and quick to help whenever I needed something. I'd stay here again if I return for work or vacation.

The home was so welcoming and relaxing, and the views of the Connecticut river were amazing. I loved having my own bathroom, and the rooms were wonderful. I'm gluten free, and they were incredibly accommodating. Every morning there was a fresh, delicious Gluten Free breakfast item, plus a full selection of Gluten Free choices. I've never had a B&B cater so thoughtfully to my food needs. They also use local organic food. I HIGHLY recommend it.

I stayed from July to December 2022, and being right on the Connecticut River was what I fell in love with. It was quiet and serene. My studio had a small kitchenette, a table and two chairs, a queen size bed, and a bathroom with a shower. The room had been remodeled nicely, and the floor heating felt wonderful once the weather got cold. I was on the bottom floor, which I liked, though I could hear other tenants walking or workingout above me. There was no ac, so I had to get a fan for a couple of really hot summer nights. Loren, the landlord, was approachable and always available to answer questions or help. Communication was great. The drive to work was a bit long, but I enjoyed it until the snow came. Lyme was a cute, small town with 2 restaurants and one local gas station store with a small selection and limited produce. Things shut down around 8pm. The nearest Walmart or grocery store was about 30 minutes away in Lebanon, so I made sure to check my grocery list twice. If I need to go back to New Hampshire, I'd love to stay here again and recommend Home on the Connecticut to anyone I know traveling to NH. Thanks for making it feel like a home away from home!

Our one night here was enjoyable. The property felt peaceful, and the river was a short walk away. The simple home was inviting, and although the sink, toilet, and shower were in separate areas, everything was clean and cozy. Rich, the owner, was pleasant and made us feel at home. Canoes and kayaks were available, and we had a quiet breakfast outdoors. We visited during beautiful foliage (9/26/2020). Our riverview room only offered a glimpse of the river through lots of trees. They also had good Covid-19 precautions. We'd stay again.

The room itself was nice, but opening the windows for fresh air let in a lot of insects because there were no screens. The gas fireplace wasn't connected, which was disappointing. The owner said they hadn't hooked it up because they weren't sure they'd be open during the winter. We ordered a breakfast sandwich and breakfast bowl the night before, and they turned out to be Jimmy Deans from the grocery store. The breakfast was very disappointing. We've stayed at other B&Bs during this pandemic and had homemade breakfasts, with inn keepers who cared whether we were having a good time and tried to make things right. I had been looking forward to a nice Bed and breakfast stay.
