The hosts were really friendly and kept suggesting things to do. We went kayaking on a quiet lake, which was so refreshing. It’s especially peaceful in winter, and the food and service were excellent. Just the kind of getaway you need. I’ll recommend it and would happily come back.

I found the Alamoosook a couple of years ago while traveling for work around here, and now I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in the area. After a long day on the road, coming back here is a great way to unwind and recharge. The team is so welcoming, and the food and fishing are great too. I love this place.

The lake was pristine and lovely for paddling, and we had a wonderful time. Breakfast was homemade every morning. The beds felt a bit firm, though. We’d love to return someday.

My two-night visit was for business, so I didn’t get much time to enjoy the incredible location. The host clearly appreciates having guests and cares about what they’ve created, and the concierge dining was a nice touch. I’d like to come back for a more relaxed stay.

The lake is gorgeous and peaceful. You can sit and read by the water, or head out in a kayak or canoe. We spotted one or two bald eagles nearby, along with two hawks or falcons from the kayaks. The area is very quiet, the owners are extremely nice, and there’s made-to-order breakfast each morning. The beds are great too.
