Aloft Orlando Lake Buena Vista

The only thing I missed was a microwave in the room. Luckily, I travel with my mini air fryer. Everything else was great: modern and very clean, with spacious rooms and an amazing bar and lobby. It was an amazing stay.

The room was okay, but smaller than usual, and the hotel felt like everything came from Ikea. I wouldn't stay again. The staff were welcoming, personable, and good. As a lifetime Marriott Platinum member, though, I was disappointed there was no free breakfast, unlike at other Marriotts without a lounge. I didn't think to ask before booking. Parking was charged separately in an area where I don't see a reason for a fee beyond making a profit. That's become frustratingly common. Parking should be included when a guest books a room.

Aloft Orlando Lake Buena Vista made for a fantastic stay, and the team is why I’d gladly come back. Glenda (accountant and supervisor), Ali at the bar, and Amanda at the front desk were especially kind and attentive. They made sure I was happy and responded with a great attitude. I did have a couple of small problems with the shower handle and a deadbolt that stuck, but both were dealt with quickly and professionally. It’s unusual to see such a focus on taking care of guests. I’d absolutely stay here again.

The rooms look modern, and the thick doors do a good job of blocking outside noise. The hallways, though, are extremely dark. Parking was a nightmare. I was told the fee would come out of the incidental hold, but it didn’t, and I got a separate notice in the mail. Parking should be part of the room price. This feels like a cash grab, and we won’t stay at an Aloft again.
