Best Western Plus Orlando East- UCF Area

The managers barged into my room and forced the door open because they thought I was smoking, even though I wasn’t. I had no pants on and was completely undressed from the waist down. My girlfriend was naked with nothing on underneath, and the man and woman who came in didn’t care. Have some respect for people’s privacy before someone invades yours. There were roaches everywhere, and the snacks were overpriced. The food was poor too, just off-brand old juice and cereal. If a family asked me about staying there, I’d tell them the place is smoke-friendly, and I’m going to see whether you deny that. Set realistic rules if you expect people to follow them, figure out who’s smoking instead of barging into rooms, and get better food. I couldn’t care less about going back. Have a great day.

There was no manager on site when we needed one. We were told the manager could only be reached by email and might arrive after 11 a.m., by which time we travelers were already out exploring the city. Making guests wait that long just to speak with management is unreasonable. We booked for five people, with two queen beds and a sofa bed, but the sofa mattress was so thin and worn out that it was unusable. That’s not acceptable for a room advertised for five. The breakfast area was also poorly run, with too few tables and chairs, so guests often had to eat standing up. This stay fell short on basic comfort and service, and I wouldn’t recommend it unless these problems are addressed.

I booked through Expedia and was charged twice more. The hotel needs to make sure the front desk understands that a third-party booking with a confirmation number is already paid. Management didn’t understand that the money had been withdrawn two other times, and I ended up paying $765.62 in total for a king size room that cost $279. That doesn’t include overdraft fees. I sent bank statements showing the error and asked them to fix it, but they refunded only one charge. I’ve emailed management numerous times and still haven’t heard back. NIGHTMARE.

A tour bus blocked the only entrance to this “hotel,” and the front desk didn’t know how to handle it. We waited almost 30 minutes to see what management would do. When we asked to cancel the night, they refused. The bus was probably still there. Crazy situation, so we decided to move on.
