Courtyard Orlando Intl Drive/Convention Center

A convenient I-drive base, with plenty of restaurants and icon park in walking distance. Parking is free, and the cozy, clean rooms are well maintained. They have a beverage chiller, coffee maker, and split bathrooms; there's also a microwave by the ice machine. As with all Courtyards, standard guests don't get free breakfast. We didn't need it, but if you do, plan on $20 per adult. We'd stay again.

You can walk to shops and restaurants, and amusement parks are visible in every direction. The location is great and the room was clean. I asked for another towel and the front desk sent two right away. I plan to stay here again.

Two days before the stay, I messaged the hotel through its app from my account to add my wife to the reservation because I wouldn't be there, as I've done at other Marriott properties. They replied that they'd add her. Instead, they didn't, then said I couldn't do it in the app and had to call customer service. Customer service confirmed the app was acceptable because it verifies my identity. Saif was also very rude to my wife. Even after customer service added her as he requested, he said he was doing her a favor by letting her check in. That's unacceptable.

The reservation mix-up was the worst part. My flight was delayed twice because of storms, so I called the front desk, gave them my new arrival time, and they confirmed it. When I got there, they'd canceled my booking. I could rebook, but only at a much higher rate. The hallways smelled of stale cigarette smoke, and mornings were short-staffed for breakfast, especially with larger events nearby. The menu was very limited, basically Starbucks coffee and food. The location is handy, but the street outside is very dark at night with hardly any lighting.
