Drury Inn & Suites near Universal Orlando Resort

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and parking is included in the price. It’s about a five-minute drive to Universal Studios, with easy access to I4 for getting around. The hotel is okay for a place to sleep, especially if you want to avoid resort or parking fees. There’s transport to Universal through a non-Universal company, though I didn’t try it. The room was fine, but there’s no safe and the fridge is on the small side. The shower pressure wasn’t great, and the lobby and food area feel dated. If you want something modern, this isn’t the place for you.

We were a family of four in a two-queen deluxe room, and it was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The property was nice and clean too, though it could use an overall refresh to feel more modern. The room and hallways could use air fresheners to keep them smelling fresh. All the staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The location worked really well for Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, with shopping and dining nearby and the airport just 20 minutes away. We like the Drury brand and appreciate the free hot breakfast and 5:30 pm Kickback dinner, which also includes three optional alcoholic drinks. I’d recommend this location for convenience and value on a theme park trip.

My family stays here about once a month when we visit. It’s a great hotel, and the view from a high floor facing the big screen on I drive is beautiful at night. You might see construction going on, but otherwise we really like the place.

The kids loved the pool and hot tub, and there’s guest laundry too. We used the daily shuttles to the Universal Parks, and the free breakfast was delicious. The evening sidekick was a full meal as well. Be sure to say hello to miss Vickie at the breakfast buffet in the morning. She did a wonderful job!
