Fairfield Inn By Marriott Orlando Airport

The parking situation caused the biggest disruption during my business trip. Our rental car was towed because its permit had slipped off the dashboard overnight. We were late to our tradeshow and had extra costs for Uber rides and rental company fees to retrieve the car, since we couldn’t collect it directly from the towing lot. When we told the front desk, they showed little concern and offered no help or compensation. We’re loyal customers who stay at this hotel brand around the country year after year, and expected better care when something this disruptive happened. Housekeeping was also a letdown. The front desk had promised daily service, but the bedding and towels weren’t changed every day as promised. The property itself shows its age, with cramped rooms and tiny, dated bathroom and sink areas that felt uncomfortable and rundown. I strongly advise against staying here if you want a reliable, hassle-free visit and good customer service. We expected better.

We chose this hotel for one night before our Disney Cruise because the rate was competitive, breakfast was included, and the airport shuttle was free. Our family of five used a room with two queen beds. After collecting our luggage at the airport, I called guest services to request pickup. They said the shuttle would take about 15 minutes, and it arrived in that time. After one stop at another terminal, we reached the hotel. We checked in through the Bonvoy app and used a digital key, so we could skip the front desk. The room was clean and had plenty of towels. One of our kids got sick overnight. I called the service desk, and someone brought clean linens to our room within five minutes. I was very grateful. Breakfast was busy the next morning with families getting ready for vacation, but the staff kept fresh food available.

Great location for the airport, but the hotel is old and dated. The bathroom was very dark and dirty, with urine from a previous guest sprayed on the floor. Yuk. The beds need replacing, and the old mattress was uncomfortable. Disappointing stay. Marriott properties are usually great, but this one urgently needs to invest in renovations. I wouldn’t stay again.

The room itself was acceptable, but I wouldn’t recommend the hotel unless it fixes its shuttle information and does a much better job following up with guests. After we landed at Orlando International Airport, the front desk told us to go to Terminal C, Ground Transportation level, pickup spot C271, and said the driver would be notified. We rushed through the airport with our luggage so we wouldn’t keep the driver waiting, then waited at the designated spot. Nobody came. When we called again, we were told the shuttle wasn’t available anymore and that we should take an Uber. The hotel had advertised a free 24/7 airport shuttle, and had directed us to a specific place before saying the service wasn’t available. We walked around the airport unnecessarily, lost time, dealt with confusion after a flight, and paid for the Uber ourselves. At the hotel they gave us an email address and asked us to send the receipt for reimbursement. We sent two emails with the receipt and relevant information but got no reply. It was a very disappointing arrival experience. If the hotel no longer offers the service, it shouldn’t advertise it, and guests shouldn’t be sent across the airport to wait for a shuttle that isn’t coming.
