Hampton Inn Orlando Near Universal Blv/International Dr

Favi was absolutely perfect, sweet, respectful, down to earth, and full of great advice about our buddies "relationship." She welcomed us back, asked about our events and competitions, and was a pleasure to talk to. 10/10 service. The hotel itself was nice, with a good breakfast selection and a common area with a printer, computer, and snacks. It took a while to get the rooms we’d booked months earlier, but they were busy that week. We had a lot of fun on the trip.

The front desk clerk, EARL, was the icing on the cake. He greeted me by name whenever I came through the lobby or headed out, checked that we had what we needed, and offered to help with anything he could. He was kind beyond what the job required. I noticed he treated all the guests that way. Hampton Inn has a real jewel in him, and we won’t forget his kindness. We hope to return to Florida, if it’s the Lords will, and stay here again so we can see EARL. We just checked out after five days. We travel a lot and usually prefer Hampton inn, so we’ve seen quite a few locations. This hotel is an order build, but the attention to detail stood out in how clean it smelled and looked. The staff clearly hold themselves to a high standard, take pride in their work, or both. We travel with disinfectant spray and wipes and check the room carefully, including the bed and bathroom. The room was outstanding, and breakfast was hot, with nice choices and a clean setup. SPECTACULAR

The front desk tried to accommodate my early arrival for a 2pm check-in, and I appreciated that. The rest of the stay was a major disappointment. The first room had almost no hot water, maybe around 80°F (26.7°C). Maintenance came, but the problem wasn’t fixed. When I checked again, the water was ice cold. I moved to a second room down the hall on the same floor, where the water was still tepid, so I gave up expecting working hot water. The AC there also struggled to keep the room below 76°F (24.4°C). The rooms felt outdated, worn, and persistently musty, and the bathrooms weren’t cleaned well. The hallways were musty and unconditioned too. The only real upsides were being near Universal Studios and having complimentary parking, though it wasn’t secured. As a frequent, loyal Hilton guest, I’m extremely disappointed this Hampton Inn failed so badly on cleanliness and comfort. I won’t stay here again.

The receptionist was kind and accommodating, but I wouldn’t recommend staying here for a long visit. The rooms were cramped for four people, and the bathrooms were very bad. The shower curtain was too small for the tub, so water kept spilling out.
