Hilton Garden Inn Orlando at SeaWorld

SeaWorld is just a short walk away, which makes this a great location if you’re visiting the park. The conference center is about a half-hour walk. I enjoyed the beautiful sunrise each morning, which was a great way to start the day. The room was a good size but needs updating. It seems set up for conference guests, with just one office chair and one comfortable wingback chair, which feels odd near a family attraction. The microwave was too small for a bag of popcorn, and the refrigerator was set cold enough to freeze our fresh fruit. The bathroom was adequate, but the tub faucet was hard to turn on. Once I got help, I had to leave water running steadily, since it needed to be cranked down so tightly to stop. There was a high pitched whining sound in the room, even louder outside, perhaps from the air conditioning unit. The restaurant isn’t a full restaurant and isn’t gluten free friendly.

The place was always clean and well looked after, and the staff took good care of us. One woman especially made the trip for me. Andre went above and beyond with customer service and handled any issue I had. I also saw her deal with other guests being really rude, and she handled that extremely well. She made it feel like a home away from home. My trip wouldn’t have been the same without her. Very grateful, and thanks to everyone for an amazing stay!

I paid $362 for one night and came away genuinely disappointed. I don’t usually complain, and I’ve stayed in countless hotels, but this was far below an acceptable standard. The bathroom had visible cracks and mold in the tub, along with clear signs of water damage. The floor was covered in crumbs and debris that I could feel under my bare feet. The blinds were completely broken, so I had to use pillows to block the light. Even before reaching the room, the lobby was uncomfortably hot, almost like a sauna, and noticeably dirty. The elevator jolted on the way to my floor, which made me question how well the building was maintained. For that price, I expected much better. I’ve had better stays at budget motels for a fraction of the cost. I can’t recommend this property until its cleanliness and maintenance improve.

The room was clean and decent, and we had no problems with our service animal. The thick, heavy duty blinds had been removed from room 322, so light flooded in all night, like stadium lights shining through the room. They need to replace them before the next guest. Everything else was great. Universal Studios was 10 minutes away, and taking an Uber there and back cost less than parking at Universal.
