Hilton Garden Inn Orlando East/UCF Area

I've been coming here at least twice a year for 15 years. The rooms are pretty standard, and the surrounding area isn't especially nice, but the staff are unbelievable. Richard is always ready to help with breakfast, and Megan is one of several front desk hosts who's friendly and accommodating. There are lots of good places to eat nearby, too.

The staff were attentive and friendly, and the location is quiet and has a restaurant menu. My room was comfortable, but unfortunately it hadn't been cleaned well. Both the shower and its door were broken, so the rooms could use some repairs.

The staff were really friendly, and I felt bad that they had to work in this environment. We booked four rooms, and every one smelled moldy. One smelled like urine and another like smoke. Even with fresh paint, it felt like lipstick on a pig, which might explain the nice photos. I asked for air freshener, but then the rooms just smelled strongly of chemicals. The carpets need to be removed and replaced. Don't stay here. I chose it based on the overall star rating from good reviews and should have read more carefully.

For a hotel with such a big name, this location was among the worst places I've stayed. The room smelled dirty, the rug felt damp, and it seemed like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. The bed looked as if someone had just lain on it, with the pillows left unfixed. I had to put towels over them so I could sleep. They should check the rooms carefully before guests arrive. I absolutely don't recommend it.
