Our plans were thrown into doubt when a recent New York blizzard affected our flight, and Roberto helped us adjust the stay with patience and kindness. He was warm and welcoming, and made a stressful situation much easier for us. The way he genuinely cared gave us real comfort when we needed it. He’s a big reason we’d gladly come back. Thank you for such wonderful hospitality at Hyatt Place.

We came for a visit to Epic Universe, and the hotel team were friendly and accommodating when we asked how best to get there. Their suggestion was to take an Uber. Our room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and there were plenty of TV channels. Breakfast was decent, with choices for picky eaters too. I also really liked the lemonade on the table by reception.

After my flight was cancelled, I arrived late and the hotel found a room for me. They honored my Hyatt membership and gave us water, snacks, and toothbrushes. The room was clean, cool and comfortable, with beds much comfier than those at the Hyatt Regency where we’d stayed the night before. The water was scheduled to be shut off for maintenance from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m.; they gave plenty of warning and it didn’t affect us. Hot breakfast was free the next morning, with a good selection. I’d stay here again.

We stayed here two weeks before our Universal trip. It’s centrally located and easy to get to, and the room was clean. The staff were great. We had a parking issue, but Roberto went above and beyond to sort it out for us. We’ll definitely come back.

The price didn’t feel justified by the rooms. Lighting was so poor I could barely see my face in the mirror, and the bathroom was cramped enough that I could hardly open the door and get inside without startling the toilet. Some old air units were sitting outside while replacements were being installed, and they were covered in mold, dust, and who knows what else. Worst of all, black mold was growing where the wall meets the ceiling. See photos. I wouldn’t recommend this place.
