The room itself was basically tidy, though there was hair on the pillows. I didn’t see any bugs or rodents, and we weren’t expecting anything fancy. But the shower handle came off as soon as we tried the water, the smoke alarm had no batteries, and the AC barely worked. After paying for the room and a deposit, I expected things to be kept up better. Check-in was a mess. The front desk was empty, with a sign saying to call 1507 and wait 29 minutes. The phone went straight to voicemail, and I’d been getting a busy line whenever I tried the hotel all day. Other guests were also waiting, some asking for soap and towels they didn’t have in their rooms. After about 15 minutes, an employee came out, checked us in, then pointed us the wrong way. We circled the complex, found our keys didn’t work, and had to wait another 10-15 minutes downstairs for replacements. The first new key still failed, but the second one worked. It was quite an entertaining stay, but I probably won’t return. One star for not having to kill any roaches, yet.

The rooms smell awful and leave you feeling dirty, and some of them have roaches. We went the first five nights without hot water, and nobody told us beforehand. I asked for a room with a kitchen, but didn’t get one until just before we left. When we finally did, the stove wasn’t even connected. A couple of the staff are nice. The rest are as rude as can be. This place is cheap for a reason. I wouldn’t stay here.

The receptionist was friendly and professional, and did everything she could to help. She even wrote a helpful note to the hotel manager. I feel bad for her, working at a place this poor, and wish her the best. As for my room, I had to leave right away and cancel the reservation that same night. There were insects, the TV and fridge were broken, the linens and towels were stained and had hair on them, and the toilet was clogged and full of waste. There was a damp smell everywhere. With this condition and the nightly price for this location, it was a definite no. Easily my worst hotel room experience, unacceptable, zero out of ten. This place should be shut down for health reasons.

We never stayed, and we’re still trying to get our money back. The place was absolutely disgusting. Carpets were soaked and moldy, and it smelled like an ashtray and cat pee. Rats, roaches, and bed bugs seem to be regular guests. I wish I could post pictures of the filth. This is a health hazard, and I don’t know how it’s still open. The health department needs to inspect it. Reviews say the same thing on every site. I wish I’d checked them before booking, but it was a last-minute trip.
