Loews Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Orlando

The boat ride to the parks was a treat, and our room keys got us shorter lines and cool indoor places to take a break. We were three friends on a quick trip to Portofino, using our season passes at Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. The Express passes are what brought us here, but we were delighted by the beautiful surroundings, amenities, and all the lovely people. We felt pampered and safe. Back at the resort, the hot tub was gorgeous and they showed movies outside by the pool. The Italian atmosphere was stunning, and we loved the food and cafe ambiance. The staff were so kind that they even sent my sister a little birthday treat. We loved the room and would come back soon!

Gilberto was incredible. He helped us with every question, got us an upgrade with an amazing view, and still remembered our names two days after check-in. The front desk staff were very helpful too. The boat ride to CityWalk made getting to the parks easy and relaxing. It was our first visit to Portofino Bay Resort, and we had an amazing time. We’ll definitely return!

The kids loved the movies on the outdoor screen by the pool, and the little ones could walk into their beach-style pool easily. The pools and hot tubs never felt crowded. We also loved how quick and simple the ferry was, with its stop right at the hotel. Express passes came with our stay, so we spent less time waiting for rides. Getting around was much easier than dealing with City Walk’s long security lines or crowded, stuffy buses. The hotel and grounds are beautiful, the food was delicious, and the rooms were spacious with very comfortable beds. Everyone we met, from the front desk to the cleaning staff, was polite and friendly. Ja, the second shift manager, was a wonderful host. This was our favorite vacation and the nicest hotel and staff we’ve experienced. Wish we’d stayed longer.

We weren’t hotel guests, but took the boat from CityWalk to explore Loews Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Orlando. The Italian-style architecture and atmosphere were beautiful, elegant, and relaxing. While walking around, we caught an opera performance, which made the visit feel especially immersive. Everything looked clean, peaceful, and well cared for. It was a lovely place to stroll, enjoy the scenery, and see another side of Universal Orlando. Definitely worth a visit for a relaxed evening walk.
