Motel 6 Orlando, FL - International Dr

The rooms are super clean and smell nice, and I like that it's close to universal studios. The receptionists are really sweet. I love Mrs rose and Mrs Amy, and the two young men are nice too. They always say good morning and ask how my day is going. I don't care for the hallway smell, which comes from guests letting their pets pee and poop on the floor. That's on the guests, not the hotel. The hallways still need a lot of work, and I wish there was breakfast to go instead of just coffee. I really don't like the first floor, so that's why I gave it four stars.

We checked out half an hour after checking in, but the desk acted like our complaints were routine. Then they refused to refund the room rate, saying we had used it by going inside. Hotwire assigned us here, and while it was listed as 2.5 stars, it felt like a one star place, similar to a halfway house. There are long term tenants, a bad smell, filthy carpets, peeling door paint, broken exterior door locks, and a broken elevator. There was even a shopping cart by the entrance. Our neighbors tried to come through the adjoining door, and a domestic dispute broke out in the hallway. The customer service and hotel were horrible. It feels like they prey on out of towners.

Rose at the front desk was incredibly courteous. I got off a plane at 8 in the morning, five hours before check in, and she let me check in early so I wouldn't have to wait around with my luggage. The rooms are very clean, and I'd stay again.

My trip's low point was this stay at Motel 6. There were cockroaches in the room, the bathroom door wouldn't close or lock, and people were yelling, “get out of my hotel room”. Thanks, motel 6, I'll be back, and I'll be telling friends and family about this for the rest of my life.
