Red Roof Inn Orlando South - Florida Mall

We couldn't sleep at all and left around 4:30 in the morning because the room was unbearable. Even our dogs, who usually sleep comfortably, couldn't rest. The hotel, especially the rooms, was extremely dirty. The bathroom and shower were in terrible shape, the floor was flooded, and there were cockroaches in the room. Reception staff were rude and unprofessional. We were told ahead of time there'd be no extra charge for dogs, but were charged when we arrived. I strongly don't recommend this place.

Rose at the desk was so polite, and I want to thank her for accommodating us. She did her job excellently. I didn't particularly like the room chosen for the person I booked it for because it had a strong odor, even though it was very clean. Maybe it had been a smoking room, but I can't be sure. The location is great, and the customer service was excellent. I'd recommend the place for its service and location, not for the rooms.

I had no heat for four days, the rooms had no natural light, and service was scarce. People kept smoking marijuana in the walkways, so if you're subject to random drug testing, you could possibly get a contact high. I had to repeatedly ask people not to smoke in front of my door. When I complained, the manager told me to leave. I found her attitude offensive, and she said I had to be out by 1 pm. I was moving my things to my car at 9:30 am when five sheriff deputies approached me. I wasn't irate, loud, disruptive, or cursing. I was just carrying my belongings, and the deputies left after seeing I wasn't doing anything criminal. I was embarrassed that the police had approached me at all. The manager had called them despite telling me I had until 1 pm to leave. Guest relations and the corporate number did nothing with my case. I paid for a week, but was kicked out a day early because the manager was angry about my valid complaints. They refunded only that one day, even though I had no heat for four days and no service for another four. I only want the rest of the week's money back because they broke the contract. I may have to hire a lawyer.

They cancelled my reservation without explanation at 9:00 am on the morning I was on my way there, saying there were no rooms available. I made an official booking on the Red Roof site, received a confirmation number and a document saying my room was reserved, and entered my debit card details. Why let me make plans and reserve if it's sold out? Don't trust that your reservation will hold. You could end up upset when this happens to you, and your vacation could be ruined. Love ❤️
