The location was great and the area felt safe. Even though the hotel is by the road, we didn’t notice noise. The desk staff were friendly when we checked in at 1am, and the place was clean. Rooms were a good size, and the beds were comfortable, even with my two herniated discs in my neck. I’d stay here again.

I had a really upsetting experience with Choice Privileges after becoming sick during a stay at one of their hotels. I believe an unclean room caused it, and the condition of the room raised serious concerns for me about cleanliness and guest safety. I reported the problem and was told I’d receive 11,337 Choice Privileges points as compensation. They appeared in my account, then were taken back without a proper explanation or resolution. When I asked customer service why, the response felt condescending and dismissive. They then said I could buy the points back, which felt deeply inappropriate when those points had been issued over a health and cleanliness concern. Instead of taking responsibility, the company left me feeling blamed and disrespected. Customer service should help resolve issues, not talk down to guests or reverse an agreed accommodation. I no longer trust Choice Privileges or feel confident supporting the brand. I urge Choice Hotels to review its cleanliness standards and retrain representatives to treat guests respectfully.

Public transportation right outside makes it easy to get around: about 15 minutes to the airport, 40 to Universal, and 45 to Disney. The Red Coach bus is across the street for other Florida destinations. The hotel is nice and affordable, with spacious, clean rooms that have a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee. Staff were polite and helpful, and there’s a nice pool.

Samantha at the front desk was very helpful and got us checked in early, which was a big plus. Our two-queen room had plenty of space for me and the three other guests, and the pool was clean and well managed. The lobby felt inviting and was well looked after. I walked alone to the store down the street at night and didn’t feel scared or threatened. The vending machine options were a downside. Also, people who’d checked out were sitting outside on the benches where we were allowed to smoke, so we couldn’t sit there. I’m still here for now and fly out tomorrow; we’ll try breakfast in the morning. I’d recommend this place again.
