Sonder Vista Cay Apartments

I’d stayed here for years and loved it, and was glad to book these condos for a conference since I have Marriott status. I reserved two for the week and had text confirmation that late checkout was approved for both. There was a mix-up with one room, mistakes happen, but they entered after the regular checkout time and took my iPad, apparently assuming I’d left it. My backpack and luggage were still there, though. They said they were keeping it safe, but didn’t take the other things, and never texted me. I had to use Find My, then call and text until I finally filed a police report. Keep an eye on your belongings here.

Beth burger bar was fantastic, and the live band on Wednesday night was really good. The apartments were lovely and spacious, about a 10 minute drive from UUniversal. Shops and a supermarket are only a five minute walk away.

These roomy apartments are set in a large condominium and work well for business trips. Each has a private balcony with a table and chairs, and is well furnished with modern conveniences like a coffee maker, washer and dryer, and dishwasher. There’s also a small gym and a pool.

The rooms were a good size and clean, with nice bathrooms. It’s well placed for SeaWorld and the new Universal Epic park. As is common in the USA, there isn’t much within walking distance, so you’ll need a rental car or Uber or Lyft to get around.
