TownePlace Suites by Marriott Orlando East/UCF Area

The front desk woman was really nice, but the rooms were awful. There was mold on the shower ceiling and a horrible musty smell. I felt gross staying there, even at the $50 employee rate, and wouldn’t come back. It had a motel feel. The breakfast room only fits around 15 people, so it was packed. The pictures make the place look better than it is.

The room was a decent size, and the breakfast was limited compared with some hotels, though there were waffles, some eggs, and good plain yogurt. We stayed five nights and didn’t get any cleaning. I’d asked them not to disturb us one night, but staff had said rooms were cleaned every other day, and we specifically requested cleaning after four days. Service was a bit lacking. Still, I’d come back if I needed to stay near UCF.

We’ve been staying here for several weeks while my husband gets therapy. The rooms are fine, though the couches could be more comfortable, and the breakfast is pretty standard with a regular rotation. No complaints about those. What made our time here so good was the staff. Everyone I met, from the front desk to housekeeping and maintenance, was friendly and helpful, and they went out of their way to make our stay a good one. The people really do make the biggest difference, so thank you to the staff.

We stayed six days for our son’s graduation at UCF and were very glad we chose this hotel. The location was quiet and pleasant, with an outdoor pool and plenty of shaded parking. Our room, bed, bathroom, kitchen, guest laundry, fitness center, and business center were all well maintained. Service was lovely throughout, from the front desk and housekeeping to the breakfast staff. Everyone was courteous and pleasant.
