Wyndham Orlando Resort International Drive

The pool and hot tub were the only nice parts, and they weren't nearly enough to make up for this horrible stay. The outside looks great, but inside the air conditioning didn't work and the room was hot. None of the three TVs worked. There was mold in the shower, a loose bathroom tile, a sink that wouldn't drain, rattling ceiling fans, white stains on the couch, and half the toilet paper holder was missing. We complained three times and got nowhere. Management didn't care, though staff already knew about the grotesque conditions. Even the breakfast area was as hot as our room. This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. Don't waste your money.

We're staying for two weeks while our new home is being renovated, and so far I'm pretty satisfied. The free breakfast has been good. Cynthia at the counter was patient, explaining everything while answering the phone and helping other guests. She pointed out our room and the available amenities, then thanked us genuinely. Our double shared standard suite is a decent size and comfortable, with a full kitchen, but only one set of cutlery, so we bought plastic utensils and paper plates in case we eat in. The toilet pipe kept running, though they fixed it promptly. The buildings feel more like older apartments and are getting new paint. The crew can be noisy, but they're pleasant when we see them in the parking lot.

For our one-night stay, this place worked well. It's only minutes from Universal, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The suites have lots of space, and the older property is being kept clean. Breakfast was included, with scrambled eggs and sausage. We were there too briefly to use the kitchen. Getting out onto International Drive can be horrid.

After long days and nights at the parks, it was great to come back to a soft bed and pillows. My fiance liked them too, and the stay was very comfortable. The room surprised me with a full sized fridge, dishwasher, oven, full microwave, and central AC. The location was convenient, maybe a six minute drive to Epcot and the other Disney parks, and just a stone throw away from Universal. The only downside for me was that the bathroom could use some remodeling. Otherwise, I was very happy.
