The fresh fish was perfectly prepared, and there were lots of good salads and appetizers. The veal sounded wonderfully different and delicious, but unfortunately it had sold out that night. This classic restaurant and wedding venue is worth enjoying before it closes in December.
The scrod baked in parchment was the best thing we tried. Portions were generous, and the grounds are really pretty for a quick walk. Service was personable too. Ask for a seat by the window facing the back garden. The other dish was just okay, and the special halibut came out a little dry with sauce that was too sweet.
Really special spot. We loved the food and drinks, and the service was wonderful too.
For me, it’s easily the best restaurant on the Cape.
I was at a wedding here and came away impressed. The building and gardens are beautiful, and my filet was incredibly tender and cooked just right. That’s quite a feat when hundreds of meals are going out at once. I’d happily recommend it for events.
