The location is perfect for the beach, and the clean pool leads straight to it. Most rooms have ocean views, especially from the second floor up. It’s pet friendly, and the staff, particularly housekeeping, are very helpful. The property is quite old and shows visible wear, so the owners should work on that. For the price, though, it’s good value.

We booked a room for four with two queen beds, a kitchenette, and an ocean view, but were given one king bed, a small pullout that sleeps only one, and no kitchenette. The room was run down, with peeling paint and large bare patches, dirty surfaces, and decor falling off the wall. The sheets were gray and stained. The couch felt straight out of the 70s and was so stained it was disgusting to sit on, let alone sleep on. The mattress and sheets inside the pullout were dirty and looked as if they’d never been changed. The ocean view amounted to a small part of the ocean visible through a corner window. The lobby was clean and maintained, but the room wasn’t. When we asked the front desk clerk for a refund or another room, they said there were no refunds and we couldn’t switch without paying again. The clerk was condescending, rude, and smug. We took the $130 loss and went a few hotels down to the Hilton. There, a room cost less and had a balcony, two queen beds, a pullout for two, cleanliness, good upkeep, free breakfast, a clean pool, and staff who were a pleasure to deal with. Do not book this hotel. The rooms were filthy, the staff rude and unprofessional, and they didn’t honor the room type we’d reserved.

I found this place at the last minute after my reservation elsewhere wasn’t available. It’s an older hotel, but things were clean and they’ve clearly been renovating. My room was spacious and in good shape, with a big shower and comfortable beds. I had a stove, microwave, and larger fridge, which came in handy, and the A/C kept the room at a comfortable temperature. I was on the ground floor, where chairs outside the door gave me a place to sit and still see the ocean. The pool was clean and never crowded, and the steps made it an easy walk down to the beach. Being so close to the ocean was my favorite part.

The room didn’t look anything like the one on the website. We booked two queen beds but got two full-size beds instead. The pool was dirty, the shower wasn’t working right, the door leading outside wouldn’t latch, and the A/C stopped cooling. The balcony railing had barely any paint left, and building maintenance seemed close to nonexistent. Thumbs down for me.
