Ozark Inn & Suites

I booked because there was an indoor pool and hot tub, but they were closed. The price reflected that. The room itself was immaculate, with everything remodeled and done well. I’m a stickler for noticing a "landlord special," and there wasn’t one. The bed was SO comfortable, though the pillows were very thin.

The management was extremely kind and accommodated our needs, even though we arrived on Christmas Day, when it’s hard to find much help. We got a room at the Ozarks Inn and Suites for a better-than-reasonable rate. It’s not the Hilton, but we weren’t paying Hilton prices. We just needed a warm or cool place to sleep for the night in the off season, and the Ozark Inn was perfect in a pinch. The location is great and central, close to just about anything you need. If I’m in the area again, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay at the Ozark Inn and Suites.

The staff were nice, and the service was good. My boyfriend and I took a day trip to lake of the ozarks and stayed in room 213. The room itself was nice and clean, but a lot of things need updating. The stairs and deck moved underfoot and felt a little unstable. The door was so hard to shut that we had to slam it each time. The bedding needs an update, and the old AC unit couldn’t be adjusted or turned off, so it ran the whole time and made the room very, very cold. There was only one outlet in the bedroom area, and it worked only if we left the spiral wall light on. Turning off the light to sleep also turned off the outlet. The only other outlet was in the bathroom. The room needs a modern update, with more outlets and fixed lighting. If you stay, bring your own comforter so you don’t freeze, and an extension cord to charge your devices. I’d also ask for a ground-floor room to avoid the stairs and deck, which felt like they might collapse.

I stopped in while working and had the loveliest conversations with Rupen and Chandni. They’re working on the property right now, but I’m so glad I got to stop by anyway. Definitely check these lovely folks out :)
