The water park was already sold out, so I called just 5 minutes after booking to ask if they could release or reschedule my reservation. They refused, pointing to a 48-hour policy, even after I explained I’d only paid minutes earlier and hadn’t known about the sellout. We’ll still go to the water park next weekend, but I won’t stay here. Horrible service over a simple request, and I’d never pay them in advance.

Two years ago, we stayed here and found everything clean, so we liked it. This time my husband went with friends, and it was awful. He was bitten by bedbugs overnight and had to move to another hotel. The internet and ice machine didn’t work either. The conditions were terrible. Avoid this place.

We were surprised when the owner greeted us at the door and had upgraded our room. The little kitchenette and sitting area were a nice addition, and the bed was very comfortable. I’d worried about noise because of the location, but it was quiet. We’ll definitely stay here again.

The room was okay for the price, though the beds were lousy and we had trouble with the TV. The place itself seemed pretty cool for a budget stay, but the whole experience was weird. I’d paid for two rooms in advance, partly in cash and partly by card. When the hotel filled up for the weekend, the owner told us we had to check out. I asked whether I could book online and get a room, and he basically just wanted us gone. We agreed to leave at 10:00 a.m. the next day, but then Craig called the police and was knocking on all my doors at 10:00, acting as if we were trying to stay without paying. I’d paid ahead and hadn’t given him a reason to think I was trying to screw him over. He’s got a different kind of personality.
